Original post:

After tackling some of the toughest control challenges including runaway processes, slow valves, sampled measurements, and integrating processes, ModelingAndControl.com‘s Greg McMillan will be conducting a primer session for tomorrow’s (September 8, 2010) 10:00am CDT/13:00UTC online demo/seminar (a.k.a. deminar). His session is titled, Control Loop Performance Primer (the “WHAT” and “WHY” needed to improve 90% of the loops).

Here’s a chance to take a step back and see how to tackle the issue of poor loop performance. These issues can impact overall throughput, quality, unplanned downtime, device maintenance, and other drivers of plant performance.

If you haven’t already visited Greg’s Process Control Lab to try these deminar simulations yourself, give them a try. Also, here’s the complete library of recorded control loop performance demo / seminars.

We look forward to having you join us!

Update: Here’s Greg’s take and a bonus 11th item that you’ll learn about.
